BECOME A MEMBER

Our national network of “brothers and sisters from care” spans generations, ethnicity, education, and socioeconomic status – bringing us all together through our shared culture of being from care.

Our individual members come from many walks of life, including youth in care, alumnae from care, foster parents, university professors, academic researchers, social workers, policy makers, etc. Our organizational supporters are national and provincial voluntary sector organizations, government organizations, academic institutions, and regional or local service delivery agencies.

 Only those members from care between the ages of 14-29 have voting privileges.

Youth in Care Canada does not receive operational funding from the federal government, or any provincial government, corporations or political parties. To preserve our complete independence, much of our operational revenue comes from generous individuals like you. Your membership contribution directly offsets the costs associated with providing free membership to youth in care who are 18 years and under and local/provincial youth in care networks.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES AND FEES

Youth (age 14-18): Free
Alumni from care (age 19-29): Free (for 2023)
Alumni from care (age 30 and older): $30
Individual Supporter (not from care): $60
Organizational Supporter: $300

After choosing the membership category that best fits your situation, click on the “Buy Now” button.  The page will redirect you to Paypal.  If you have a Paypal account, it is easy to use it to make your purchase.  If not, you have the choice to either create an account or pay with a major credit card.

You can also pay your membership by sending an e-transfer to info@youthincare.ca. Please include your name and a contact phone number in the memo box.
