Making Changes
Government and Public Relations
Youth in care are largely invisible in the public, with the exception of media-sensationalized cases. We inform government and the public on the realities of living in care.
Research & Advocacy
Benchmark Reviews
We believe change can only happen when there is a vision of “best possible care” rather than a band-aid emergency response. We benchmark national standards for care and review Canada’s progress.
Research & Advocacy
Issue-Specific Research & Advocacy
We conduct qualitative research and advocate on specific issues that are important to youth in care, such as education, the use of drugs in the system, transitions to adulthood, etc.
System & Capacity
National Think Tanks
We host and are invited to national think tanks with other leaders and experts in the child welfare system to strategize ways to improve the system.
